Cold is an improvised ambient EP by Cold Comfort.

I recorded these three tracks over the course of a week. I kept hearing drones in every day noises, whether it was the hum of the dishwasher or the air vent in the bathroom. So, having spent the last few years discovering a lot of ambient / drone music, I thought I'd give it a shot. I hadn't written anything since I finished the album in November, so this felt like a fun, different path to go down for a moment.

The cover of the EP is part of the view from my spare bedroom. It's one I've seen working from home for a couple of years now and with a new change coming in my life, I wanted to release something that represented a certain snapshot in time. These tracks share apprehension, deep concentration, contentment and as always a glimmer of hope. I hope you enjoy this EP. I'll get back to the noisy stuff soon enough.
